  Your Day In The Zoo

How you can help Glasgow Zoo

1. Save your old aluminium cans and take them along to the zoo when you next visit. These are recycled for cash.

2. Volunteers - The zoo is actively looking for volunteers with a whole range of skills to help them run the zoo and raise finance.

3. Goods Donation - Any items you may not need might be useful to the zoo. They have recently made use of paint, food donated by local shops, sun screen oil provided by a local firm and old hospital equipment donated by Glasgow hospital which has been used to incubate eggs.

Roger Edward,  has created a series of files which are effectively a historical, pictorial tour of Glasgow Zoopark, Calderpark Zoo as it was then. Available at:

http://members.tripod.co.uk/GlasgowZoopark/opindex.htm

you will be able to meet some of the people who created the zoo, and see some of the challenges they faced.
